expanding horizons, exploring potential

Introducing Harby C E Primary School

Our school is a successful small rural primary school for children aged four to ten years. Our latest OFSTED inspection in October 2007 judged the school as 'outstanding' , whilst the subject inspection of education for sustainable development in January 2007 also judged the school as 'outstanding'.

The school is at the heart of the community and places great emphasis on its relationships with children, parents and other members of the community.

Our school aims to provide a friendly caring and secure environment, in which all the children are valued and achieve their full potential.

So how can we do this?

By providing a broad based curriculum in stimulating surroundings
By developing positive attitudes to activities and learning
By fostering care and respect for others
By using effective teaching methods

The school recieved the the DfES 'School Achievement ' award in 2002 and 2003 in recognition of the standards achieved and is included in the Ofsted Annual Report published in February 2004 as 'a particularly successful school'. The school recieved the Investors in People standard in 2005.
